A Self Portrait Poem
My eyes rage and flare with the power of volcanoes rapidly erupting
My skin is as velvety and smooth as hundreds of steaming mugs of milky
coffee
My hair is as wild and boisterous like the lashing, infuriated, rolling
waves in a fierce storm
My love is bottomless and as immersing as the core of the earth
My heart holds faith
That is vibrant scarlet,
As a single petal neglected in the rich soil below
I am a girl who lives in a world of obstacles and changes that make up the
course of life
