DROWNING

I stood near the ocean tide,

But I could not swim

Other kids laughed and played

They had all gotten in.

But when I looked I saw another by the edge

Cast out

Me and him

So hand in hand we were

Upon the beach of white sand

Then we both dove in

And as we drowned, we smiled

Our lungs so full of rich sea water

We were both hugging each other

And as we sank into the abyss

We shared our first and final kiss

This burning so sweet

We drown, we drown

We didn't know that young love was a sin,

But we didn’t even need oxygen
