November Fifteen

It has been a year since that day--
That day when you became a part of me
What started to be a playful lie
Suddenly turned into a sweet reality.

I never looked for you...
I never needed someone to love me
But you appeared for a lot of times
Though I kept pretending you weren't real.

Thought I could never ever love you
For there was already someone who has blinded my heart
Patiently, you waited for that moment--
That moment when I'll love you back.

But as time ticked off the clock
I started to realize you were someone--
Someone special I should never lose
And so little by little, I learned to love you.

Together, we laughed as if everything was heaven
Together, we shed tears because of our clashing emotions
Together, we discovered each others' strengths and weaknesses
And together, we shared moments and secrets only the two of us knows.

I know both of us aren't perfect
We commit mistakes and hurt each other sometimes
But still, I am thankful--
Grateful we always managed to hold on.

We can never predict the future
For only God knows what it shall be
But can you blame me if I pray and hope
That we be together for eternity?

We are but young and stubborn--still in love
I do realize we still have a long way to go
And as we again count the days that shall pass us by
Let's just wait for another November Fifteen.
