White crests bubble cheer
Hypnotic strokes to soothe
Away footprints over the years

Salt washed wounds

Calloused soles divert the eye
Soft jellyfish under the roar
Struck and never saw why

Fingernails on a chalkboard

Feet scrape along the sand
Pretty enough to give it a whirl
Under toe slow upper hand

Rub out another pearl

Sunset beauty renowned
Clichés attract gawkers in droves
Salt extinguished the fire
