They'd Never Know

A normal person would look at this picture and
think, what a perfect little street,
with perfect little houses.
But, they'd never know, that a highway was just over there.
They'd never know, that a garbage dump was behind that forest there.
They'd never know, that the sweetest old lady lived in that house.
They'd never know, that the superintendent lived just there. They'd never know, that the best sledding spot was just beyond those trees.
They'd never know.
They'd never know, that my friend and I were looking at this picture,
Thinking all those things, not being the normal person,
thinking, what a perfect little street,
with perfect little houses.
