Play It By Ear

All I ask is for one more embrace
A love caress
That shows the innermost feelings
Regarding me and you
Just one more sentimental bliss
Everything is cold
So dead, lifeless
Without you in my life
I can only pray forgiveness
A moment of sweet mercy
To bring a stop to my torment
My sleepless nights
My rigid breathing
Caused by endless, racking sobs
I love you more than you know
Or care
It will foreverr stay that way
You and me
Seperated
No longer with crossing paths
Two seperate roads
To never meet again
You seem to think it's best
I, ever the skeptic
Question every move
Which has become my downfall
My cause of torture
The end

So now I will play it by ear
For I have learned
My mistakes
Now stepping stones between life lessons
And I will await
The next leap
To the next stone
