TAROT CARDS:
EPISODE 20: AFTERMATH
EPILOGUE
It’s been several weeks after the incidents of Billy and Elesa. The four survivors, Wayne, Sydnee, Cherae and Ray return back to their normal lives, trying to forget about the chain of events that changed their lives forever.
“The series of gruesome murders that claimed nine teenage victims have come to a stop.” A Caucasian brunette news reporter says. “It’s been several since the gruesome discovery at the new Magic Shop that had opened up several months ago. Two bodies were found, sixteen year-old Gary Reid and what appeared to be a giant cat. The Magic Shop has been burnt to the ground, to never be opened up again.”
It’s a bright sunny day outside, the first one in a while. With Sydnee and Cherae, Wayne visits Gary’s grave. Wayne walks to the grave and puts the picture he, Sydnee, Cherae, Arnesha and Drew took when school ended, on his grave.
Hours later, Sydnee gathers all of her Tarot Cards and her other Black Arts materials, consisting of potions and spell books. She gathers everything up and puts it in a pile. With her lighter, she smiles as she lights them on fire.
Cherae goes over to Antoine’s broke down house and knocks on his door. He answers. Cherae gives Antoine both of the guns she borrowed from him. She begins getting a little emotional. Instead of taking his guns back, Antoine pulls her to him and hugs her. He takes Cherae with him inside his house and closes the door.
Ray is in his room, looking through all the pictures of his friends. He comes across Pam’s picture. He pulls her picture out of the pile and smiles at her. He takes the picture and throws it in the trash.
Wayne is in what appears to be a therapist office. His therapist is a middle aged woman.
“Now,” She says. “Let’s talk about your anger problem.”
Wayne nods.
Later that evening, Wayne returns home from therapy. His room is dark. He turns on his lights. He looks suddenly looks surprised. Sydnee is smiling at him sitting on his couch.
“How did you get in here?” He asks.
Sydnee smiles. “The door wasn’t locked. That’s not safe, you know.” Sydnee gets up from the couch and walks to Wayne. “It’s been a while.”
“Weeks.” Wayne says.
“Since we…”
“My room’s upstairs.”
“Right.”
Sydnee and Wayne run upstairs to his bedroom, to enjoy their first night without having to worry about something coming after them…finally.
