The All-faithful Friend
by Joyce Reid

Whenever I fret or worry,
If ever I’m tired or sad,
I know that Jesus can calm me;
Secure in His love I’m glad.

When ‘round me the world darkens
And aimless I stumble in dread,
I notice His love shining o’er me,
The blackness of life has all fled.

Whenever my spirit is grieving
And tears trickle down my face
I know in His grasp I’ll find refuge;
I’m saved by His wonderful grace.

When friendless and lonely I wander
And my path seems never to end
I see that He’s traveling with me,
For He is my all-faithful friend.
