A Little Poem

Here is a little poem,
Written down for you to read:
A message that's worth telling
Whenever you're in need.

Though I am not an expert,
I'm not even very old,
I do know something valuable,
Much more than any gold:

When Jesus said, "I love you,"
He meant it very much,
And will always take good care of you,
When you are in a crunch.

When Jesus said, "Suffer,"
"These little children to come,"
I think He meant it for all the world,
Not just the very young.

When Jesus said, "Forgiven,"
"Are all your sins this day,"
I would not take it lightly;
It is true in every way.

When Jesus said, "Follow,"
He meant it for you too.
Don't worry you won't be alone;
He'll always help you through.

He never said, "It's easy,"
"To lead a Godly life."
He only promised to help you
In this world of pain and strife.

When Jesus said, "I'll never,"
"Leave or forsake you,"
I am sure He meant it;
His word is always true.

I hope this little poem
Has blessed and helped you some,
Though I'm sure you've heard before
The words of God's own Son.
