I wish I were you, little butterfly
Wings that glitter towards the sky
You can fly, I wish that gift were mine
For I am stuck in this watery shrine
I can feel the wind through my hair
But I will never truly feel the air

Shhhh big mermaid do not cry
It is a curse to be able to fly
You float in the water, so peaceful, so free
And when I see you, I wish it were me
You see, of water I could never touch
How can you want the air when you've already got so much?
