It's easy. Just let go. Don't mind the tears, the blood, the wince of pain. Easy. Blade against flesh, biting, slicing. Just a little pressure. Let go. Cut it open, watch the skin split apart. See the tendons underneath and cut those open too. Skin, tendon vein. Pulsing, bleeding. It's easy.

Easy. Let it bleed. Let the blood drip and pool. Don't mind the sheets, they've already been stained. Just let go, let the crimson spread and soak in. Watch it overflow and spill. Watch it run. See? So easy.

Just let go. Let the darkness overcome. Let consciousness slip away. It's easy. Drift into dreamless sleep, no more worries, no more troubles. Just let go and forget it all. Nothing really matters anymore.

It was so easy. Wake up and wonder. Wonder why, and how. Wonder just what happened. The heart monitor beeps and the bandages are too tight. The room is so painfully white, reeking of medicine and sterility. It was easy to just let go.

Here's where it gets hard.
