"What is the Origin of Writing?"

It possibly started in Mesopotamia. It was generally used as another way of communication. It was used to make records, for remembrance, and to communicate nonverbally.

When the Mesopotamians got tired of always telling stories to keep them alive through speech, they developed a way to place it on objects of no importance. They took papyrus, an elongated object, and tipped the object with oil. They put markings on them and drew pictures to the point that nobody could understand. Because of this confusion, the Mesopotamians died out soon after. Then, the Egyptians picked up on this, thus leading to the Egyptians being drowned by a flood. Few survived, as not many could fit on top of the Sphinx's head, and all people on the Sphinx's nose fell off with it. Then the Europeans reinvented the idea of writing. It eventually consumed many people's sanity, so they left to send it the horror to Asia. And then, before reaching Asia, they ran into the Americas, where they further spread the horror of writing. Then, the Indians, being excellent teachers, tamed the cursed markings. Then it spread through all of the tribes and thus came the English Teacher. I predict that by A.D.2222, writing shall claim the Earth and all of its people.
