Old Friends

Old friends, I knew you as a kid,

And I know my memory as a past,

I knew your parents as a child,

And I like to remember the bad parts last.

Old friends I haven’t seen in a long time,

I know you all as memories,

You must be different now,

But nothing much has changed,

Though I’m sure you like to think different,

You’re still pretty much the same.

Old friends from childhood,

However I am, wherever we’ll meet again,

I still will recognize you,

Because as much as you like to think we’re now different,

Only our faces have changed.
