She pulled up a chair. "Yes, we've known for quite some time now."
He smiled at her. "Thora? Thora Smoot?" She smiled back.
"Why, William, I didn't recognize you. Saint Joseph's University,
right?" His smile twitched.
"So, how did you come here?" she made a sweeping gesture.
He laughed, "You're still the same." She gave a look that tried to
reprimand.
"Oh, it's just the glamour, I guess." Her eyes opened wide at his
audacity.
Theodore cleared his throat. "Why, we've know for quite some time
now."
"Oh!" Thora grinned again. "Oh, yes. Anyway, I suppose William was
the one to first."
He nodded. "And at great personal risk, I might add." William made an
effacing smile.
"Pooh!" she responded playfully. "You've changed!" They shared a
hidden joke.
Theodore tried once again to grab attention. "The enemy is
mobilizing. We need to act soon. We know he's sent squads to."
"Dear Theodore." Her eyes were big and sparkling. "Always playing
pretend." He harrumphed. "Oh, you know I'm only kidding."
"Well, and after all, it *is* only your right. I mean, whose money is
it, anyway?" This gave her pause, and she considered for a moment.
"Right." She said. "Back to business." She lowered herself to his
lips.
