The Tornado
By Jeremy Morehouse
The sunny May Day
Was calm and bright
The birds were chirping
And squirrels scurrying about
When the huge whirling beast
Moved briskly down the way
Destroying everything in its way
Its language of destruction rang loud
And fear filled all who heard
It left quicker then it came
Survivors filled the streets
To see the destruction of nature’s beast
Many were slain
And many were spared
But none will forget the beast
Who cost them everything
That horrible myth
That came to life that day.
