Oh Stalker of Mine
The Start of a 'Beautiful Love'

Drifting into consciousness. He was waking slowly. His eyes ached as he slowly pried open. They hadn't been used in a while. 'Pain. why do I hurt?' He searched his head. 'Who am I? What am I? When is now? Where am I? Why did I lose my memory? How did I get here? Ugg. what happened?' His head spun from the thoughts. Clumsily dragging his hands closer to his shoulders he pushed himself up into an awkward sitting position. Immediately a pain bounced around his head, 'My heads like a pinball machine.' He felt his head with a shaky hand feeling a bump on the back of it. 'I must have hit my head and forgot everything. and WHAT THE HELL is a pinball machine?' He looked around slowly. He lay in the middle of a road. His black hair was tangled and his black clothing was torn and dirty. 'I must be a traveler. a POOR traveler.'
"Now I'm lost." A heavenly voice cried agitated. It quickly filled his ears.
He stood quickly. To catch a glimpse a view of the owner of that voice would be great. 'Nay it would be a spectacular feat.' Perhaps she could help him.
"Stupid map!"
He saw a girl paused in the street. 'Nay an angel has stopped while drifting up from her earthly grave.' Her orange hair was down long, allowing it to blow against her arms. ' Nay it floats with her holy aura not blows.' Her matching eyes blended in with her tanned skin and her mass of freckles. 'A sea of freckles houses those ginger eyes.' She wore a red shirt under an unbuttoned brown jacket and loose brown pants. 'Casual yet eye catching. perfect attire.' Two daggers and a sword hung at her waist. 'Well prepared yet not overkill.' An odd marking was on her forehead. 'She has a black tattoo? And it ruins her face.' He pouted.
She drew her sword suddenly; flicking a piece of wrinkled paper upwards. A swift slice through the air cut the paper neatly in half. 'Wow! Such skill. She is warrior angel.' He felt her heartbeat quicken considerably. 'What beauty to go along with it.' He slowly crept towards her.

"Ugg." As Kit snatched the left half of her map she grumbled in her mind, 'How am I supposed to reach the dragon's cave? The map was so ancient.' She crumpled the brown paper in a clenched hand. 'This damn forbidden forest!' She tossed it back behind her lazily. She frowned, 'I wish I had my powers back. I could just jump through the treetops. well if I got them back I'd never think of doing this.' She felt a tug at the corner of her mind. 'Someone is watching me?' She turned to her left cautiously. Successfully meeting the eyes of a stranger.
He was tall, slightly more so than an average human. Those staring black pools of eyes seemed endless. 'A. Demon? Great. Just great. An asshole probly.' His clothes and hair were tattered and tangled yet they showed signs of a past wealth. She naturally snapped, "What are you looking at?"
The man replied quite earnestly, "An angel." In an instant he was kissing her hand. Both hands grasping hers while he balanced on one knee. "I know we just met. in fact I don't even know a thing about you. But would you marry me?"
Kit pulled back in surprise, "What the hell? Damn I get lost then run into a crazy demon." She wiped her hand into her clothes then tugged out one of her daggers. 'I can take him out if he tries anything.' She took a few steps back just in case.
"Is that a no?" He whined. This guy really was out of it. He dropped his other knee down and seemed to beg, "please." His eyes were watering.
Her eye was twitching. She was vaguely aware of it as she groaned. 'This can't be good.' She brought her free hand up to her other dagger. "Yes it is so bug off."
He looked surprised. "But." He trailed off. "But I." He started to stare into space.
She decided to ignore him. Picking the tallest tree, she climbed up for a better view of her surroundings. She spotted the cave against a small tapering hill. "Okay now which direction." Pulling out her compass she smirked. "Directly north-west."
She hopped down next to the demon. The landing was hard causing her to topple forward. Her free hand shot out to steady herself. "This body has crappy landings." She decided never to do that again.
"You alright?" The demon looked worriedly at her. He laid a hand on her shoulder to further secure the girl.
Kit realized she'd not moved since her landing, "Yes... why wouldn't I be?" She stood quickly brushing off her knees than her hands. 'Damn I must have looked stupid.'
"A beauty like you shouldn't travel alone." He stood swiftly and bowed. "Until you decide whether you want to marry me or not I shall protect you!"
"I will NOT marry you and I don't need protection, demon." She hissed angrily. She traveled alone now and forever. 'Who needs anyone anyways? She waved him off as she started off to the cave.
"I never said that." He looked pleadingly. "Well what about a travel companion?"
"I don't need one."
"Yes you do!"
"No I don't"
"Yes."
"No"
"Yes"
"NO!"
"YES!"
"NO!"
"NO!"
"YES!" Kit noticed his trick a moment to late. "Damn."
The demon smiled, "Well I guess you've finally realized I'm right."
"Hey! You tricked me!" Kit moaned. 'Wait! I WILL NOT be out smarted.' She smirked, "I do not need a traveling companion because I ALREADY have one."
"You're lying." He simply said.
She rolled her eyes, "HIS name is Frank. and he doesn't like other men being around me. If I'm lying and you can prove it you are free to travel with me."
"I know because I smell no other humans." He suddenly sniffed her. "You don't smell human..."
Kit rolled her eyes, "Who said we're human?"
"But you look human. and you have no magic." The strange demon protested.
Kit rolled her eyes, "Appearances can be deceiving. now scat!"
"IF there is a Frank I'd like to meet him." He persisted.
Kit smirked with a gleam in her eye, "Why not." She let out a loud high-pitched whistle. She'd left Frank at the forest's edge so he'd be close
Her steed, with his bright white mane appeared. The demon seemed surprised, "A horse is not a traveling companion."
"He listens to my problems, never complains and listens to orders. If ya ask me he is the best companion." She patted him as she climbed onto his 'saddle.' (A/N: It is just a blanket actually. ^-^;)
"I'm still coming!" The demon announced.
"No you're not."
"Yes I am!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"No."
"No!" He tried to trick her.
She smirked, "Glad you see it my way."
"You tricked me!" He moaned. Eyes were watering, tears ahoy!
Kit rolled her eyes, "No, you tried to trick me and failed."
He lightly jumped behind Kit on the blanket. He hugged her waist in an instant. "You're so smart!" He nuzzled her cheek with his own childishly.
She elbowed his ribs hard, "let go of me." Originally it was supposed to be an order but instead it came out as a fearful squeak. 'Nice job Kit, imitating.' She scolded herself.
He let go quickly but stayed on Frank. "Okay but I'm not moving. Sorry if I scared you!"
"I'm sure you are." She let out a frustrated growl. 'Hopefully after a while I can lose him.'

Three hours later.
"I got fish!" The demon announced as she trotted off. He ran after her. "Hey aren't ya hungry?"
She sped into a gallop. "No. Go away!"
"WAIT!" He started after her. "Please wait!"
"Sorry but. umm. NO!" She focused ahead a lopsided grin on her face. 'I finally lost him!' She quickened feeling the wind comb her hair.
Suddenly two arms were wrapped around her waist. She barely smothered a yelp of surprise. The demon whispered into her ear, "You're trying to lose me aren't you?"
Kit sighed. "What was your first clue?"
"Umm." He seemed thoughtful for a second. "When you said you were going to pick flowers and you started off without me. Or maybe when you said you hurt your wrist and asked for me to get an imaginary herb. Or when you 'wanted a bath.' Or the bridge thing or the." She tuned out of his rambles.
She slumped a bit, 'this guy just won't leave.' Ahead appeared the cave. She straightened happily, "Finally!" She hopped off Frank and away from the demon. Drawing her sword quickly she landed at the entrance.
She easily saw the sleeping dragon, it was older than she'd expected. Re-sheathing her sword she let out a deep breath. Closing her eyes she focused on the treasures behind the beast. 'Valuable gems, gold, ivory, paintings, silks, and furs. a few magic objects but not the right stone here.' She turned swiftly immediately saddened. Jumping back down she sighed nursing her head with one hand.
"What is it?" The demon looked worried.
Kit growled angrily, "It is not here. DAMN VILLAGERS!!! They'll pay-"
"Oh for what?" A tingly voice asked. Kit's neck tingled as silence broke out. "Oh I see! You're not looking for The Stone of a Thousand Wishes are you, little cub?" The dragon was clearly awake.
Kit flipped around, by reflex grabbing her sword but not unsheathing it. "And if I was?"
"Ah, what an odd companion you have, little cub." The dragon seemed to smile in her words.
"Yes he is odd. Don't change the subject." Kit knew she was being too bold but she didn't care. "Do you know of the stone's location?"
"Rude. but that is expected of you, little cub." The dragon shifted within her cave. A claw extended holding a necklace. "The stone will glow when it is near a highly magical object. It will help your journey, little cub."
Sure enough as Kit approached she noticed a small glass sphere was on the necklace. "Thank you." She said politely.
"Now leave, little cub. There are dangers in this forest that no one should face. even with one such as he as a traveling companion, little cub." The dragon settled again, "good bye."
"Good bye." She sighed slipping on the necklace. It was helpful but not the end to her problems.

"You should ride. it'd be quicker." The demon persisted. They had been traveling in silence for hours now.
Kit rolled her eyes, "whatever." She walked alongside Frank tiredly. 'No way am I willingly riding with a demon. and he refuses to get off.' She bit her lip, 'my legs are aching. I've been walking too much lately.
He stopped suddenly at the side of the path. "Wait one minute." He wandered into some bush. He seemed anxious about something.
Immediately a fox like grin. 'Bad time to take a pit stop demon!' She hopped on Frank quickly about to trot off.
The demon hopped out of the bushes grinning. He was on Frank's back suddenly, "I knew you'd do that, my love." He hugged into her nuzzling her cheek with his own.
"Demon." She drifted off angrily. Recovering her voice she seethed. "I AM NOT YOUR LOVE!"
The demon whimpered slightly, "but you didn't tell me your name yet so." He cringed against her pathetically.
'I tell him my name and it'll increase the chance of him staying. or I don't and he calls me 'my love'. damn.' She sighed, "Kit."

"Kit?" The demon repeated. 'I know you need at least two names. maybe she just doesn't like her last name.' He snuggled closer to her comfortingly, making her stiffen. "Sorry, I can't remember my name."
"What?" She seemed surprised; tilting her head sideways to steal a glance at him.
He shivered subconsciously at his plight. "I woke up only a few minutes before meeting you." He tightened his hold adding silently '. my angel.'
"Amnesiac, huh?" She relaxed, "I've heard if you travel around where you were found you'll remember a bit. perhaps you should do that."
He wasn't surprised. His angel always warded him away. 'She is afraid of making friends and falling in love?' He felt pity envelop, but complained to mask his feelings, "But then you'd be all ALONE!"
"Ever consider I might LIKE being alone?" She was angry again.
He didn't know why she kept on getting angry. She looked prettier when she wasn't frowning. She'd be prettier if she'd smile. Nay beautiful! He wondered what would make her smile. 'She wants that stone. 'The Stone of a Thousand Wishes.' If I help her get that would she like me?'
He was vaguely aware she was trotting. no galloping. He wasn't sure. She smelt like wildflowers. Foxglove in fact and it was soothing enough to make him sleepy. But he would lose her then. She'd drop him off and not look back. He didn't want that. She was too addictive, too interesting, too beautiful. too perfect to lose. Her warmth reached his wind-chilled bones. Half asleep he clung to her, as they continued.

Kit stopped Frank as the sun set. As much as she hated to admit it she was tired. She slid off the horse quickly. The demon jolted awake without his 'oversized teddy bear.' He looked around surprised, "Why'd we stop?"
"I need sleep." She investigated nearby trees for a good place to curl up near the roots. There was a bare spot between two roots of the biggest tree. It was big enough for six people to sleep in. Big enough for her to keep her distance from him. She went near one root, curling up slightly. 'I wish I knew what the hell is going on!' She sighed. 'I keep getting bad tips! And now this demon. He's gonna cause trouble I know it!'
He curled up against her making her stiffen. "I think you should relax more!" He brushed a lock of her hair away from her face. "Always sulking over something isn't good for you!"
She curled up tighter tucking her legs in. Her head tilted down allowing the lock to fall back to where it originally was. "Shut up!"
"Night!" He wrapped his arms around her. His body pressed against hers.
She pushed him off her, "Stop hugging me!" She needed sleep not a crazy demon's affection. 'Not anyone's affection.'
His voice frowned, "okay."
She curled up resting her head against her knees and her arms warming her legs vaguely. She barely noticed new warmth as she drifted off.

He knew she was almost asleep so he took the chance of cuddling her. He knew he knew nothing about her but he was drawn to the innocent yet stubborn girl. 'What made you appear human? Why are you so stubborn? How can I make you open up? I know ya don't want to.' He brushed her hair away from her face before curling closer to her and drifting off.

The quote that summarizes him: Sanity is overrated!
Bio: The annoying demon that follows Kit. He seems a little childish most of the time due to his amnesia but often shows signs of greater wisdom. Did I mention his thoughts usually seem. Modern.

Notes: I like him!!! He is SO different than most of my other demon characters. It's so fun to write ways of him annoying Kit. He is basically the male version of me. except I don't correct my thoughts (just thought he wasn't insane enough). and I don't obsess (that is based off one of my friends.) Anyhow he has my 'ANNOY EVERYONE by acting SILLY' thing down pat LOL. but I DON'T cuddle anyone. except bishie from anime. Name ideas welcome!
