Like Silence

Dear you,
a letter...
Enclosed are some blue stones.

(They are cracked, but
I am sending them not
because they are broken but
because they are beautiful.)

Today you got my letter,
Which is all I know about your today.

But I am not sure it reached you.
I wrote it without anything to say.

(You are not cracked, and
You are not broken, and
You are beautiful.
)

And here is sunshine.
Here is a city of people
at work and at rest and at play.
And as I write this,
I am buying a ticket
it will take me
even further
away.
