:bows down to the on-looking crowd:
Hello one and all! Tonight's story is of a boy who was never looked upon by, oh how do you say... the opposite sex? He felt as if he wasn't noticed, until fate brought he and a young girl together, through a meeting at a local library.
Jamie, a young lady of 15, was venturing through shelves among shelves of endless books, waiting to stumble upon one that caught her attention. As her never-ending search continued, she began to notice one particular book that snatched her eye. She began hastily reaching for it, as if having a race with herself, unknowing of the other person next to her reaching for that same book. Suddenly she jolted her hand away from the book and looked toward the boy who had won the book-reaching battle.
"Hey, um... sorry, were you about to pick this up?" The boy asked.
"Oh", Jamie exclaimed, "no, no you can have it. I was just browsing."
The boy raised an eyebrow at his rival book-seeker. "I'm Brandon! And you are?" He held out his hand to greet the new encounter.
Jamie steadily held out her hand toward Brandon. "My name's Jamie. I'm here often, actually. Do you come here often?"
Brandon hesitated to answer. "Well, not really. Just picking up chics." He laughed.
Jamie smiled, then realized that he was joking. Having ignored that fact, she jumped into his arms. "Well, you've succeeded! So where are we off to?" She asked happily.
Brandon thought for a brief moment, since he never puts much thought into anything. "Hmm, the park! Let's go to the park!"
Jamie happily smiled and giggled as Brandon carried her toward the library doors. He suddenly remembered the book that had caused this meeting. "Oh, Jamie... Did you want that book?"
Jamie grew a confused look on her face. "What book?"
