On Anger

Love is what I hate
I cannot live to wait
I paid you your money
So you would ignore me

I did not tell you
To tell me that you were true
You did not ask for
Me to be your whore

I have not worried
That you won't stand by me
I do not care that
We are past all that

If you are willing
You can numb my feelings
I am now sterile
And forever servile

I do not wish to
Unduly harm you
If you could trust me
We might become free

I gave you your money
You did not ignore me
All that I could be
Was crushed for eternity
