1. Quit Drinking
Goodbye my wondrous golden brown liquor
With your sparkling bubbles that bring me joy
I guess we have found you are not the cure
Just sludge which slowly will my health destroy
And I vow I'll never drink on work nights
Perhaps just a trickle at the weekend
And at Christmas when there are twinkling lights
And maybe just a touch when with a friend
And just a small drop at happy hour
And when the supermarket has offers
No! I can quit! I have the will power!
I won't spend days digging in the coffers
Screw it! I just really love alcohol
I'll just give up drinking pure ethanol
