My heart is ripping up like paper
And he can't see the little pieces
Flutter to the ground
Into a little red cluster
Scattered and tainted when his breath blows them all away
But he makes me laugh
When I can't smile
He makes me think about things
When I've lost myself
In the ever moving currents of life
I used to play with paper planes and watch them in the wind
I used to sit upon the grass and find happiness within
But now it has all gone away
My childish sense of life
I used to lie back and watch the leaves
Rustling in the wind
I used to run in the fields and love the warm, summer sun
But now it has all gone away
Where has it gone to, I wonder
But wondering won't bring it back
Just like a paper plane in the wind,
It carries itself wherever it wants
Just like my little paper pieces of my heart
They're lost in the wind
I wonder where those planes and pieces went
It seems so long ago I've lost them
