A/N: Edited 04/07/04 (or if you’re American: 07/04/04) with the advice from Tragic Shadows... Here's hoping I haven't made it worse from messing with it smiles

The sands of time shift and flow,
But what do we have to show?
Some find joy and some find pain,
Some have lost whilst others gain.

Who controls our fickle fate?
Who can award a clean slate?
Who can stop this grief and hurt
And help us up from the dirt?

Some intangible thing,
That makes your heart sing?
Or is life your own
To be shaped and grown?

And time doesn’t stop flowing,
So you’ve got to keep going,
Through obstacles in your way
Each and every day.

And when you reach the end,
I say don’t pretend,
For the journey’s done,
The battle lost or won.
