One person walked down a highway, late at night. Heading in the general direction of Texas, it was a sad sight. The highway sheened wetly from the recent rain. Headlights appeared in the distance behind the person on the highway. Slowly approaching, closer and closer, the person decided he shouldn't be in the middle of the road. He stepped over to the middle of the highway to let the truck pass. Instead of passing him, the truck stopped next to the person and the driver's head leaned out, "Where're ya headed, kid?" The person on the highway looked up from the ground and simply said, "Texas." The driver scratched his head, and closed one eye. Chewing on a toothpick, he said, "I can take you there." The person on the highway looked questioningly at the driver, "Sure you want to pick up someone creepy like me?" The driver looked dubiously at this teenager on the highway and said, "I picked up waaay creepier folks 'n you, kid. In fact, I got someone scarier 'n you in the cab right now! Come on, kid, hop in." The teenager shrugged and started walking around the front of the truck to get in. The driver stopped him, yelling, "What was your name, again, kid?" The lone person on the highway looked up and said, "Kuro. Yoshi Kuro."

As Yoshi got into the cab of the truck he looked over to see another teenager his age, in a black trenchcoat, with long dirty blonde hair in a ponytail. The truck driver began driving once more, chuckling to himself, "Hah, two white boys with the same weird last name..." "Going to Texas to see Jane, are we?" Yoshi asked of the trenchcoated teen. The driver looked confused for a moment, "You two know each other?!" Zagato replied simply, "We should, we're brothers." Yoshi looked at Zagato quizzically, "So why are you going to see her, Zaggy?" Zagato didn't reply, instead he handed Yoshi a piece of paper.

FROM: TO: SUBJECT: I Need You

I need you, I love you. My greatest wish is for you to be here when I wake up.

Don't tell Yoshi, he won't be able to handle it.

~~ La Jane

Yoshi looked up in complete and total confusion. Zagato reached across Yoshi, opened the cab door, unbuckled Yoshi's seatbelt, and pushed Yoshi out of the cab. Paying attention to nothing but the paper in his hands, it took Yoshi a moment to realize he was no longer in the truck. Once he realized this, he quickly reacted and grabbed at the closest thing to him, which conveniently happened to be the back of the truck. The pain was incredible, it felt like his arm was about to be torn off, but he hung on. Eventually he gripped the back with his other hand. Slowly, he started climbing up the back of the eighteen-wheeler. Once he reached the top, he stuffed the paper in a pocket, sighed, and sat down.

As the traffic quickly congested to the point of stop and go, Yoshi finally noticed the "Construction Ahead" signs. As they reached a complete stop in a long line of trucks, Yoshi found his insanely stupid inspiration. He raced to the front of the truck he was on then deftly hopped down onto the hood of the cab, facing towards the windshield. He quickly flipped off Zagato with both hands then leaped onto the back of the truck immediately in front of them. He climbed to the top of this one, and began a death- defying process of leaping from truck-top to truck-top. As Yoshi neared the end of the road construction back up, he turned around to see a figure with a billowing trenchcoat and a sword drawn, rushing at him. As Zagato reached the truck immediately after Yoshi's truck, Yoshi raised his arms in defense. Zagato leaped off the end of his truck, raising his sword to come down in an overhead slash, only to come two feet short when Yoshi's truck sped away. Yoshi flipped off Zagato once more as the truck underneath him sped away.
