Yoshi knocked on the door three times. Jane answered it, and Yoshi could distinctly hear the credits of Matrix Reloaded playing in the background. Jane stared at Yoshi open-mouthed for a moment, then managed to get out, "What are you doing here?" Yoshi merely held up the print-out of an email. Jane read it, then looked up at Yoshi with a new cruelty in her eyes. Yoshi said one word, "Why?" Jane laughed, "Why? Why?! Well, I'm not sure, but here are a couple good reasons. He can fight, he's not a pansy like you. And also unlike you, he's not a melodramatic ass!!!" Yoshi glimpsed someone down the road and asked, "No?" Pointing down the road to the image of Zagato walking down the street, sword in one hand, and a rose in the other. Yoshi walked out into the middle of the road and faced Zagato. When Zagato reached fifteen meters from Yoshi, he threw the rose into the air and slashed with his sword, turning the rose into a shower of rose petals between the Kuro brothers.

Zagato adopted a Sephiroth stance, leaning back; Yoshi took a defensive fist stance. Jane screamed, "You don't have a weapon, Yoshi!" Yoshi didn't move, "Yup, I'm screwed as all hell." Yoshi and Zagato charged at each other while the music from the teaser to Revolutions at the end of Reloaded blasted from the house. Zagato stabbed forward with his katana, Yoshi dodged to the right, spinning to the left, grabbing the hilt with both hands. Flowing with Zagato, Yoshi suddenly changed the direction of his right arm, elbowing Zagato in the face. Continuing his spinning motion to the right, Yoshi punched Zagato in the stomach. Then Zagato's left arm came around to deliver a cracking punch to the side of Yoshi's head. Following this one hit with a flurry of sword blows, Zagato left Yoshi thoroughly beaten. Neverhtheless, Yoshi charged at Zagato again, this time deflecting the sword blow with his left hand while kicking with his right leg. Zagato grabbed the leg and threw Yoshi down. Zagato grinned and yelled, "Kick him while he's down!" Then he proceeded to follow his own instructions.

After two solid minutes of Zagato kicking Yoshi, Zagato finally let up and backed off. Yoshi raised his face a few inches off of the ground and spit a mouthful of blood. Raising himself the rest of the way, he abruptly twitched into an offensive fist stance. This sudden movement made all the dust he had collected on the ground burst off him in a way you only see in movies. He then moved his arms around until his right side was facing Zagato, left hand clenched in a fist, with the elbow slightly bent, right hand in front of him in prayer pose. There was a blazing fire of hate in his eyes. Yoshi then moved his right hand around to make a gesture which simply communicated, "Come." Zagato charged with a look of absolute hatred on his face.

Yoshi deflected the first sword blow with his right hand, then punched Zagato in the face with his left fist, then his right. Before Zagato could bring it back into position, Yoshi ripped the sword out of Zagato's left hand with his right. Then Yoshi punched Zagato in the stomach with his left fist. Leaping into the air, Yoshi kicked Zagato twice in the face, and when Yoshi landed, he spun around to kick Zagato in the gut. Zagato caught this kick with his left hand, then tried to kick Yoshi in the back with his right foot. Yoshi caught this kick with his left hand. Seeing the predicament they were in with their feet caught by each other, Zagato attempted to punch Yoshi in the face with his remaining hand. Yoshi caught this punch, and threw Zagato's fist to the right, before punching Zagato full in the face. Zagato lost his grip on Yoshi's foot, and Yoshi dragged Zagato around by his foot. Finally picking up enough speed, Yoshi let go, letting Zagato go flying into the dirt.

For a long time, Zagato did not move. Eventually, he rolled over until he was facing Yoshi. "Well, Yoshi, you kicked my ass and I'll never dispute that. But it doesn't matter. I have her love, not you. I won, and there's nothing you can do about it." Yoshi looked down at Zagato in the dust, then over to Jane standing in shock at what she had just seen. After seeing all this, the hatred left Yoshi's eyes and he said, "When you're right, you're right, and right now, you're right." Yoshi looked down at himself and noticed little rivulets of blood flowing down his right arm. He gripped his arm with his left hand and slowly staggered away from everything in the world that he wanted.
