Chapter One

"Dad, ya almost ready?" Cecilia asked her father, turning around to face him in the airport.

"Hm...?" Her father, almost 55, was too busy looking at more southern women walking by.

"Daddy," she slapped his arm, "Jeez, you'd think this the only reason why we came here from Boston was so you could stare at all the southern belles."

Her father laughed. "Well, that was definitely a nice plus for moving here," he put her arm around her shoulders, "we're gonna like it here, i have a good feeling about good ol' Texas."

Cecilia rolled her green eyes. "Eh.. it's okay. I feel scorching with this sweater on," she took off her white sweater, revealing a black tank top.

Her father agreed. "Definitely a temperature change here. But, hun, I mean guys are gonna go nuts at your special little college! And me, I have a great new job, with provides us with so much!" He waved to the man holding a sign that says "Mr & Ms Romano"

Cecilia shrugged. "The house is probably gonna be shitty dad, it's not like you're working for Bill Gates, all you're doing is some research."

"HI!" She shook the man's hand who was holding up the sign signaling them, "I'm Patrick and this is my daughter Cecilia Romano."

The man smiled kindly. "I'm Mitch. Your boss, Mr. Larosa, told me to pick you up and bring you back to the house."

Patrick raised his eyebrows, confused. "We're staying with Mr. Larosa?"

Mitch smiles broadened, "Yes, sir."

Cecilia's eyes widened in horror. We're living with some dude I dont know? Her father patted her black haired head, comforting her.

"Yes, well, that's fine. We can just drop Cecilia at Angelo State University, eh? She has to sign up for her classes."

Mitch continued to smile, which pissed Cecilia off. "Certainely. Here, lets go, shall we?" He took their luggage and began leading them out to the parking lot.

Cecilia stayed behind for a quick moment. "Welcome home, I guess."

~*~**~*~ "You're not from around here, are ya?" A cute, petite blonde scrunched her nose at Cecilia, who was apparently her new roomate.

Cecilia looked around her, and tucked her dark bangs behind her ear. "Is it that obvious?"

Cecilia stepped into her brand new dorm room, to discover a lot of pink things surrounding the room. The bottom bunk was taken over by a baby pink mattress and blanket, and the pillow had a Winnie the Pooh pillow case over it.

The girl giggled, and tossed her long blonde hair over her shoulder. "Well, howdy, girl! Well, I can just tell from ya wardrobe." She drawled.

For the first time Cecilia noticed how the blonde girl was dressed. She had tiny shorts on, which barely covered her behind and a pink halter top on. Cecilia looked down at her own reflection, she had a frayed black skirt and white tube shirt, showing off her tan skin.

Cecilia laughed, embarrassed. "I'm from Boston."

"Woo-eee! All the way up north, huh?" She linked her arm through Cecilia's, "What are ya majoring in?"

Cecilia fiddled with her bangs, "journalism, actually."

The petite girl smiled, "I'm majoring in Health, I want to become an obstetrician."

Cecilia raised her eyebrows, surprised. She definitely didn't look like a girl who wanted to deliver babies. "What's your name?"

The girl smiled at a group of guys that passed by them. "Robin. What about you, darlin'?"

"Cecilia."

"Well, Cecilia, let me check out your schedule, my pop is a big charity giver for this school, I might know some of your professors." Robin looked at the little piece of typed up paper. "NICE."

Cecilia glanced at her, curious. "Do I have a good class?"

"You bet, sweety!" Robin flashed her white teeth, "we have professor Reese McMallion together."

Cecilia shook her head slowly, "I don't think I've heard of him."

"Ahhh," she twirled the girl around, "he is just the most gorgeous guy that has ever entered Texas."

Cecilia chuckled. "Reaaallly now," she drawled in a heavy Texas accent, "Well, I'm going to have to meet this Professor Reese."

Robin laughed and started to become serious. "Girl, you have no idea. He does lectures on journalism, apparently he has written quite a few books, and he is gorgeous!"

Cecilia nodded her head, amused, she began moving all of her luggage over to the beds, and started putting her light blue covers on it. "Well, I don't get impressed easily by guys. How old is this guy anyways?"

Robin climbed up the bed and plunked down on hers. "Umm...," she began counting on her fingers, "32."

Cecilia sighed. "Well, at least he's not like 50 or anything," she said playfully over her shoulder, unpacking her suit cases and putting her stuff in the second of two drawers.

"Girl, you will see what I'm talking about tomorrow, we are going to have a blast this semester." Robin winked at her.
