In the sea of nothingness
Where silence rules the tides
There is no feeling, hunger, or emotion
Everything is as it always was and will be
Change is unknown
The here and now is ever present
The darkness is eternal with no hint of light found in its shadowed depths
Only water is seen
Reaching out in all directions
Land is unnecessary.

But deep inside the gloom
A suffocating presence is felt
It is not seen or heard
It can't be touched
It overwhelms the mind
and crushes the ever present soul
Which is the only light of hope not seen.
