The time has come
She had married to her husband
It was their wedding night
All her dreams and fantasies were shattered
His anger and his fists pummeled her
He beat and tore her skin
She bled
She was in shock
Scared witless when no fear had ever touched her
Her pride was gone
She did not welcome this man
But he beat her and forced himself upon her
Her innocence was lost
As was her mind
She barely survived the night.
The healer tended her body as well as her mind
He was gone sent away
But the fear gripped her every day
Would he come back and do again what he had done
She felt sick to her stomach
Months passed she gained control
Little by little of her heart and soul
But the nightmares would not pass
The terror never leaving
But lasting
Then he came into her world a handsome stranger
He did not know her rules
day after day he made mistakes but learned from them
He loved her then as he saw her true face
The joy, the pain, the guilt
As time passed and they became man and wife
She learned she loved him too
He was gentle, caring, always putting her first above all
But they were only husband and wife in name
Not in deed
He waited for her
Though he wanted her more every day
At last
Concentrating on her love and joy
They became man and wife truly
She had found happiness in a man
And he had been with her through more pain then imaginable
Their love grew
And at last
She was at peace
She was with the man she loved
Happy
What more is there?
