Warm and Floaty

I'm swooning, Dear Lord, is that possible?
Feeling my breath catch, halted by you
My heartbeat speeds up in your presence
Awkward and nervous I regret
Every minor mistake I make with you
You brush by my side; innocent I'm sure
I lean into your touch unconsciously
You smile at me, is that an extra glimmer?
Hope soars and latches on the idea
Squashed by the thought that you
Smile that warm opening smile at everyone
I hear you talk about you going out with others
You say you are not, all the while you
Are looking at me, that warm floaty
Feeling that I get with you arises
Could you feel something about me?
But I know that whatever feeling that we
Might have about each other won't be
Instigated by myself, unfortunately I
Am far too shy and insecure, and sad
To ever be with you for real
Hope and dream of being in your arms
Warm and floaty feelings about
So I watch from afar, distant and silent
Just to be with you and not shunned
You walk by and say hi
I'll be thinking about that for days
