Little Secrets

This one is about self-harm, the first one I have written on this subject for a while. I guess it must be playing on my mind more than usual.

Little Secrets

Little scar upon my wrist,
I trace the line you draw,
Little scar upon my wrist,
Now fainter than before.

Little knife upon the shelf,
Please don't watch me so,
Little knife upon the shelf,
I wish that you would go.

Little knife now in my hand,
I had to hold you near,
Little knife now in my hand,
With you, I know no fear.

Little knife touching my skin,
Block out the shame and dirt,
Little knife touching my skin,
You promise this won't hurt.

Little cut upon my arm,
I watch you as you bleed,
Little cut upon my arm,
Your pain is all I need.

Little scar upon my wrist,
Soon you'll have a friend,
Little scar upon my wrist,
My addiction will not end.
