Carved in Stone

“You are right, I am wrong.”

Rigid and unforgiving
Their attitude blinds them
They follow a set way

So what if I don’t?

They may think that this causes
My spirit to be lost or condemned
Fated for some horrible ending

But what if I am happy with my beliefs?

I cherish my values
While respecting others
I am open to what they have to say

Does this make me immoral?

If only they looked harder
Might they see a person
I dare to disagree

“Who says that you are right, and I am wrong?”
