Shamans. The people who have the abilities to see wandering ghosts. The messenger between the living and wanderers. She may seem like your typical fourteen year old, but no one knew how special she really was...actually, how unlucky she 's about to get is it just the turning point of her life?

She looked outside with her bored chestnut eyes, the teacher droned on in the background as she watched the 2 birds fly away from the tree as she twirled her sandy hair with her pencil--although it was curly already. It was another boring day for her--the teacher, as usual, standing in the front of the room talking. Like a humming bird's hum, like the wind swishing the grass below, like a bee's-
"Miss Aiko, would you please pay attention to class!" the teacher sternly announced, loud enough to break her daze and make her classmates snicker as they looked her way. Aiko was never the one with popularity. It was especially hard for her to make friends after the move. "Sorry...," she mumbled, but loud enough to be heard.
The bell rang, interrupting their discussion. Students quickly got up and pretended to pack their already packed bags as they chatter and laugh their way out. Packing slowly to avoid the crowd at the door, she picked up her belongings and walked towards the door like a snail. Just as she was about to step over the threshold, her name was called.
Turning around to face the teacher, she made a small smile to indicate she was listening. "If there are any problems at all, don't hesitate to ask for help, all right?" her teacher assured. Giving her teacher the plastered smile, she replied, "Thanks Miss..." Walking out of the classroom and not noticing her teacher sigh and shake her head, she walked to her locker and dumped out the heavy books. Picking up the things she needed into her bag nicely, she headed for home.

The fresh spring air rushed in and greeted her as she opened the door, the sun beamed at her while hugging her with warmth, the vibrant colours of spring blinded her sight as she walked out of the school into the glorious new freedom...which was actually a week of Spring Break. Deciding to take a different route home to celebrate her week off, she took off towards the road she hardly knew.

The uneventful walk wasn't as fun as Aiko hoped it would be. Occasionally, she'd hum, skip, or anything that would be slightly more entertaining than usual. Realizing that she had been fingering her bracelet, she stared at it, as if hoping the bracelet would do something special.
"Of course it wouldn't..." she told herself silently. "Just because it was given by Jeanne doesn't mean it'll do something," she scolded herself. Jeanne was her childhood friend. She was the only one who would befriend her, in which she was grateful.
"Besides..." she started again, "it's already special enough," she smiled as she took off the bracelet and examined it more. It was a thin metal bracelet, chained together by smooth metal loops, all connected together with a latch.
A sudden screech and a hiss brought her attention back. Apparently, she had almost stepped on an orange cat. It hissed at her, and abruptly gave an ear piercing screech in an attempt to scratch her. Aiko didn't notice its sudden move, but the cat didn't scratch her, instead, it caught the bracelet and quickly leaped and ran inside a pretty modern house that looked quite empty. Without thinking, she chased after the cat.

The cat moved swiftly and managed to slide through the slightly ajar door before Aiko reached the front patio. Not wanting to intrude, she knocked on the door. Seeing that nobody seemed to be home, she entered the pretty house. Walking inside nervously, she saw the cat inside the room on the right. Creeping over so she won't scare the cat, the floor creaked like mad. The cat, alerted by her presence, gently trotted away.
"Aww man!" Aiko exclaimed and turned around the corner to follow the cat...to find it circling its owner--in which she gave a squeak. The woman was a lady around her mid 30's. Her blonde hair was straight above her shoulders. Wearing an old style brown dress with a white hand-sewn coat, she bent down to pet the cat, in which the cat purred and dropped the bracelet. The woman picked it up and looked at Aiko with a smile. "I suppose this is yours..." she inspected the bracelet, "it seems like it's broken," she continued in an emotionless tone.
Gasping in horror, Aiko ran over and took it. "My...my bracelet!" Aiko looked at it in disbelief. Her most sentimental valued item was now...broken? The woman watched with a gentle smile "Wait right here.I might have something for it," she said with an unnoticeable smirk and an evil glint in her eye. The woman slipped out of the room and a few minutes later, returned with something orange in her hand. "Here.." she took the bracelet and fixed it with the orange thing, which Aiko now noticed was a charm. "It looks really good on you," she smiled as she commented. Aiko thanked the woman graciously and left on her way home. Inside, a voice was heard. "It..shall be activated." and then, there was a meow.

The bracelet was now very intriguing. The orange charm looked like a small swirling orb. The contents looked extremely liquidy. It didn't seem like an ordinary charm, but, how could she prove that it was...weird? It seemed so fragile, yet not so. Before she knew it, she arrived home.

Entering the house, she took off her shoes and entered the living room before her. The living room had 2 couches that surround the table in the middle, and a TV was across from the couches. There weren't many pictures around, but the room had decorations to fill space. Dropping her bag on a table against a wall, she entered the kitchen that was connected to the living room.
Getting a bag of chips from the cupboard, she exited the kitchen and was facing the front door area again. From there, she headed up the stairs on the left. She passed by her mom's room and then the bathroom. When she arrived at her room, she received the biggest shock of her life--in which she dropped the chips.
There was a guy sitting in her bedroom, he looked like he's thinking. Wearing baggy pants and a t-shirt, with his blond hair as messy as ever that almost covered his azure eyes, he sat on her bed.
'Holy *censor*!! Oh my God! *censor* *censor*!' her mind screamed. 'There's a guy here in the house!!!' it screamed again. Aiko wanted to scream her head off. There was an intruder in the house, and why wasn't she moving!? The shock of seeing the guy wore off when he turned and looked at her straight in the eye.
Aiko couldn't move. She was frozen to the spot.
She didn't know what to do. Her mind had suddenly shut down on her.
The moment didn't last that long though, but the strangest thing happened.
He turned away without flinching!
With her mouth agape, she looked at him in shock. 'What was going on!?' she thought at once. The shock wore off, and she finally said something "Don't move, you!" He spun around and met her gaze with a confused look. "I'm gonna phone 911 and if you dare move, I'll...I'll...scream!" she threatened him as she walked over to pick up the phone.
Truth to be told, screaming definitely wouldn't work at all. Her neighbours had both gone to vacation early, making her the only one who's around her screaming for him.
"Whoa-hoa, slow down here." the guy held up his hands defensively. "You can see me?" Aiko rolled her eyes "Heh, no, I'm just talking to my imaginary friend." she replied sarcastically. He lifted his eyebrow, "'s that friend of yours, huh?" he replied, totally ignoring her sarcasm.
"Shut up!" Aiko roared in frustration, "I'm going to phone 911 and you can't stop me," she punched the talk button harshly.
He shrugged, "So what? It's not like they'll believe you anyway." "Why not!?" she growled. "Because," he stretched and laid on the bed comfortably, ready to enjoy what's coming up, "they can't see me."
There was silence, in which he looked at his nails, pretending to wait, till she registered what he said in her brain. "What!?!?" she screamed in irritation, her voice boomed within the house. He smirked while looking at Aiko on the verge of pulling out all her hair.
"You know what," she started, regaining her composure, "I don't have to believe you," she replied stubbornly, "For all I know, you could be just saying that to get out of trouble," she had continued. Sighing after sitting up, he chuckled, "Fine, phone them. I'm not the one that's making a fool out of myself," he finished by sitting on the bed, leaning against the wall with his legs partially crossed.
She eyed at him suspiciously. 'Well...' her mind started contradicting her, 'why would he risk himself like this? Maybe people really can't see him! But...' she smiled, 'if he wants to play, sure, I'll play.'
"So, how come I can see you but not the others? She asked smugly. He shrugged, "No don't look any different from this morning."
"What!? You were here this morning!?" she exploded in shock. 'Doesn't this guy at least have some manners and sneak in after she's gone?' she fumed silently. Letting her blood cool down, she fingered her bracelet--it always managed to cool her down. A surprised yelp made her jump.
"That's it!" he pointed at her bracelet while jumping with glee, and a short while after, his gleefulness suddenly turned into an evil grin on his face. "You know, last time I checked..." now slowly advancing Aiko, "ghosts are able to take over human bodies." "W-What!?" she looked at him aghast, "Y-You're a g-g-ghost!?" she stammered as she backed off from the stranger.
He laughed insanely, "Of course! What makes you think I know others can't see me? The answers are quite simple Aiko," he said, finally cornering her into the wall. 'Of course!' Aiko thought 'All the pieces are fitting in their he said nobody could see him..even when he was here this morning! I couldn't see him this morning!'
"Why would you w-want my body...I-I mean, if you could choose anyone...why me?" she stammered once again. Again, his crazy laugh emitted from his mouth as he semi-shrugged, "It's not by choice, I can only take over humans who notice my presence," he said maniacally when he put his hands on the wall beside her sides, cornering her for sure, "and in your case, you can even see me...how often do these opportunities come?"
"Don't worry..." his voice now turned into a whisper that sent shivers down her spine, "it won't hurt...much..."
"Eeeeeeeeiiiyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It was dark.

Street lights flickered into life as night strolled in. A woman walked down the lonesome street. Click, clock went the heels of her shoes. Arriving before the desired house, she took out her keys through her messy bag and opened the door. Flicked on some lights in the dark house, she dropped her bag on the couch. Taking off her coat, it revealed her black business clothes with the black skirt and blouse underneath. Loosening and unbuttoning some of her clothes for comfortableness, she noticed the unusually quiet atmosphere, in which led her upstairs with her sandy hair swaying behind her.
Upstairs was much darker than downstairs, her auburn eyes scanned the area, and since she knows her way, she manoeuvred her way around the railing and into a dark room. Upon arriving, she flipped on the light.
The scene surprised her, but only for a few seconds. Going up to the figure on the bed, she spoke, "How was the test?" she held the figure's hand. "Not as good as we expected, but she passed," a male voice spoke from behind her. "If I knew it was today...I could've at least warned her..." she looked at her daughter on the bed sympathetically.
"No, Mrs. Kamiya...if you did, then the test wouldn't have taken place today...even I didn't know" he assured, although a little embarrassed. "I must admit, it was the most fun ever since you two moved in the house a few months ago" he chuckled lightly, "Entertainment is everything, it used to be so boring in here...and I'm glad the testers called for help." Mrs. Kamiya sighed, "I'm just glad that Aiko passed...will she be ok Ken?"
"Yes, she'll recover, my past experiences say so...and I must say..she's quite a persistent girl...I had to shake her from calling 911," the blond stepped into the light, "but many tests will ensue over the upcoming years."
Mrs. Kamiya nodded, "I understand, I remember that I barely passed my tests.." she turned around to face Ken.
"It might be tough for her...the Shaman Tests......"
