Chapter 1

It was a moonless night. Six- year old Tyet crept out from under her covers. It was simply too hot a night to be under it. The only source of light for her blurry eyes, was the table lamp on her desk. Rubbing her weary eyes, she stood up to go towards the bathroom connected to her room. Her steps were halted by the outline of a shadow by her window, at the further, darker part of the room. She would have mistaken the intruder for her older brother, Zeph, if not for the extra shadow on his shoulder.

"Who's there?" Tyet whispered, careful not to wake her older brother who was sharing the room with her.

The figure made no sound of reply, only to walk towards her. His features becoming more visible as light dawned on his face. He dressed rather simply, just a sleeveless shirt and a knee length pants. His long bangs of black-brown fringe nearly hid those dull greenish eyes that were the only ones out of his dark appearance.

Who is he? Tyet thought. He might be a bad guy, gotta wake Bro up. He would know how to handle him.

Her thoughts were disrupted when something warm dripped on her bare neck and flowed down slowly along her spine, chilling her senses. Touching her neck, her first instinct was to look up at the ceiling. Her eyes slowly focused on a lifeless body hanged onto the ceiling fan, with fresh blood still dripping. It was no doubt, Zeph.

A shrill scream rang out, but was stopped almost immediately by the intruder. With a firm grip over Tyet's mouth, he finally spoke in a low yet strangely boyish voice "Don't, Azura. Or you will end up like him."

Tyet glared at him through watering eyes and struggle vainly to break free. " I will let u go if you don't make a noise, or they would come for you." True enough, he let go when Tyet stopped moving.

"Brother.wha what did u do to." Her cries were cut off, when her whole world turned black.

Letting her limp body dropped down onto the floor, the intruder turned around.

" Nice job, Azrael. Your father would pardon you from your past mistakes now since finishing Azura. Come on, This whole place is going down. "

"Yeah. Flurim, you go on first. I will be there shortly."

With his friend out of the room, Azrael, the intruder, picked up Tyet gently and vanished like his friend. He reappeared, seconds later in the backyard of Tyet's house. As Tyet was laid down on the soft grass, he whispered gently,

" It's better if you do not remember anything tonight."

Slipping a silver locket down her head, Azrael recited a spell. A spell that would make Tyet forget what that had happened minutes ago. He then flew up on the black, bat wings attached on his shoulder blades. Soon, there was no more evidence of him ever being there except for the locket secured around Tyet's neck and a black feather on the ground beside her...

Six years ago. There are many other worlds in this universe besides Earth. Xwery is one of them.

It was a festive day. The entire Xwery is celebrating the birth of Azura, the new heiress to the throne of Xwery. Five guardians were assigned to protect her. They were, Tallulah(male),one of the most powerful angels in heaven. Vera(male), a reformed mighty demon. Azrael(male), the angel of death and son of an evil devil. Wei (male), the guardian and official mage of Xwery. Lastly, was Naila (female), a small god. It is said the 17th generation of the throne would have to make the decision that would affect not only the three realms of their world. However, on that very day, Azrael's father turned up and destroyed the ceremony. Caught unprepared, the royal palace was totally wiped out by the devilish soldiers. The only ones spared from this massacre, was Azura and her guardians. Combining their immature powers, the five young, inexperienced guardians managed to send Azura to be reborn in another world. Then with the help of Azrael, the rest managed to escape to different dimensions. Azrael was captured by his own father, and what his father did to him for his involvement, was unknown.
