Note: Some of the lines in this song are copied from Samuel Francis Smith's
"My Country 'Tis of Thee". I do not own that song or its words in any part.
Also, some people who read this are not going to like it. Too bad, I'm not
over it!
My country, I hate thee.
Sweet land of misery
of thee I sing.
Land where my lawyers lied
Land of the rich man's pride
From every dollar sign
Let freedom ring.
My native country, thee
Land of dishonesty
Thy name I love.
I love thy crooks and thieves,
thy sham of honesty.
My heart with disgust fills
like that above.
Let ego swell the breeze
And chop down all the trees,
Sweet freedom's song!
Let phony tongues awake
Let few that wealth partake
Let some their fortunes make
The sound prolong.
Our fathers' God, to thee,
author of liberty, to thee we sing;
long may our land be bright
with freedom's holy light;
protect us by thy might,
great God, our King.
