My Last Sorry

I’m sorry for the blood that stained your carpet red,

I’m sorry for my corpse that lay still in your bed,

I’m sorry for the knife; I know I stained that too,

I’m so sorry baby; just remember I loved you.

I’m sorry for the funeral, where you watched me laid to rest,

I’m sorry for the flowers, for which you paid the very best,

I’m sorry for the tears, that I watched you cry that day,

I’m so sorry baby, but there was no other way.

I’m sorry for the words that you found so hard to speak,

I’m sorry for the poem, that the little girl sang, so meek,

I’m sorry for the vicar, he looked so sad today,

I’m so sorry baby, but there was just no other way.

I’m sorry for the memories that haunt you in your sleep,

I’m sorry for hurt I caused, I know it cuts so deep,

I’m sorry I stopped you living your life, the way I stopped mine too,

I’m so sorry baby; please remember: I love you.

A/N: I apologise for the depressing tone…but as it stands…well, I’m sure you can guess I’m feeling kind of low right now…
