My friend once said that "she melts sometimes." I do too. I think everyone does...and it's hard to become solid again.

I Am Ice

Ice

I am ice

Frozen within

Melting without

I am ice

So I won't feel

I am ice

Ice that melts

So I hide from the sun

Water droplets

Ice…

            Ice…

                        Splash…

Frozen

Like my will to love

Like my might to know

Like my sanctity

I am ice

Crushed, diced, ice

I am ice

Shattered, broken, melting

Exposed, melting, scarred

Ice…

            Burn…

                        Burn…

I'm going to melt

Like the will of my heart

Like my enigma

I am ice

Melting, gone, exposed

I am water

Drifting to the shore

Water…

            Rise…

                        Rise…

I am air

Floating nowhere

Just like my emotions

I am air

Invisible, indiscreet

I am air

Flying to a cloud

Clouds…

            Rise…

                        Fall…

I am rain

Falling from the heavens

Like the wretch they think I am

I am rain

In free fall

I am rain

Reaching solid ground

Fall…

            Splash…

                        Gone.
