A brief note from the author (don't bother unless you like boring things):

After over three (or nearly four; I've rather lost track) years of planning, I have decided to embark on the journey of the sixth draft of a story I have been writing. I was twelve when the idea was first conceived, and I have spent many an algebra or geometry class mapping out characters and fictional landscapes. I will warn you, however, that despite so much planning, it will take months of work to produce each chapter.
Something you will have doubtless noticed by now: why doesn't this story have a name yet? It used to have a title, I assure you. In fact, it maintained the same title for three years (a title I still call it by in my head). So, what happened? The previous title actually gave away an early plot twist and otherwise had little to actually do with the story. Oops. I am going over current possibilities for a title, so one will appear eventually, but, to be honest, it's not really that high on my list of priorities for this story. I am sure you will agree that a good story is more important than a good title. I resist the urge to add "dur" to the end of the previous sentence.
Everything in this story is original, including the two languages you will occasionally see. Do not steal. I will hunt you down with a scythe. If the landscape becomes confusing, I do have a map drawn up that you may ask for via e-mail. Also, note the use of the word "cuirdin" (pronounced: KWEER- d'n). This is a sort of affectionate term with no literal translation. It means something along the lines of "little one"; a sort of nickname applied to children.
I apologise to those who have survived thus far for being so tedious about this "note", but this is the condensed version. I would have liked to say far more, but will restrain myself because I like readers, too. So, without further rambling, I invite you to please venture on to the story of Peter. If you have any questions or criticisms, please, please, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. Thank you!
