She tiptoes back into her warm room,
Through the window
They'll never know.
Climbing into her bed,
Looking up at her ceiling.
They would never have expected this of her.
She's addicted to it.
To making a mockery of everything
They think she is.
Her bright green eyes
And locks of curling blonde hair.
Full, pink lips polished with gloss.
When she leaves them
She disguises herself.
Hates what they expect
She wants to be someone else
Someone they won't like.
But she hides it.
Goes out behind their backs
To a world that no one really knows her in.
Doesn't expect anything of her.
They'll never know she was gone
