Beauty and the Beast

Summary: I know it may sound like it's just about flowers but read between
the lines and maybe it will jump out at you. For those to whom it does not
jump out here's the hint. It's about society's loves and hates.

Disclaimer: I actually drew this to go along with a picture I drew of my
lovely roses but seeing as I have no scanner I will not be putting it
somewhere you can see it. Unless you know me, which I hope you don't, then
you can definitely not see it. I drew the picture to send to my friend who
is currently away. The poem was just an added bonus. Hope it appeases you
masses.

Two roses
from one seed.
Thought the same
but looks mislead.
For soon they blossomed
and it was seen,
that one was dark
but the other serene.
And all eyes loved
the light bloom best
and soon forgot
the one they detest.
And before long
the dark bloom died.
But no one cared,
or knew, or cried.
For society will always
love the light bloom best
and shun the beast
from all the rest.
