Change The World

I watch and wait
blinded by
darkness
shielded by light
Through the lies and deceit
Through the truth
and compassion
I see hope for
this world
A vision of a place
that they say can never be
But I believe
And so
they send me away
to stifle my voice
Afraid of my influence
They fear change
the change in my dreams
I am silenced
This reality is only
temporary
Dreams last
change the world
threaten today
hope for tomorrow
But the fear
