Let Me Be Me

I want to laugh
But my mouth is numb

I want to cry
But my tears are dry

I want to run
But my legs hurt

I want to scream
But my voice is so small

I want to love
But I don’t want to get myself hurt

I want to be free
But I’m bind with my responsibility

I want to fly
But I have no wings

I want to be me
But I can stop pretending

Let me be me
Why can’t I let myself go?
Why can I just be me?

I know very well
That I can’t be me
I still have a long journey to go

When the time comes
I will let myself be me
I will be me
