Sanctuary

-:-

-:-

I am an only child,
And that suits me just fine,
No brothers or sisters to bug me all the time.
But sometimes it gets lonely when there's nothing to do,
Then I think it would be cool to have a sister to talk to.

I have some good friends
I like to hang around,
But none like a sister who would pick me up when I am down.
Some of those good friends I have no more;
One day we just stop talking
And hanging around like before.

Out of all the friends I have now,
We have fun all the time,
But one is special;
I really don't know why.

We have a lot in common
And get along great.
We now have a friendship
I don't think will fade.
Out of all the friends I knew,
I'm so glad that you stayed.

One night I was home by myself,
Feeling down,
But I didn't wish I had a sister anymore--
I called the friend who would always be around.
