What You’re Lookin’ For

I don’t want to know

What you’re lookin’ for

Inside

The deepest

Lies

That I can’t forgive

No matter what,

If you’re searching

For something

You need to take

Back

You’ll have to fight

Because

There’s no way

That I’ll ever forget

Those days

When you hurt me

With those words of yours

With those hands of yours

With that hard heart of yours,

You have no care

None at all

No way for me to look at you differently

‘cause each angle I look from

Has the same hardness

And that, boy,

That!

Is that what you’re lookin’ for?

‘cause if that’s true

You might as well get out

Since there’s no way out of the hole

You’ve dug for yourself

And you might as well surrender

Since there’s no way out of this game

You’ve made for yourself…

Why did you do this?

Couldn’t you see, boy

That you were just lookin’ for trouble?

Or did you think

That

Everyone would respect you,

Look at you with admiration…

‘cause there’s no way that’s

Ever gonna happen

With the way you are now.

Your mom might say

Never say never, but

What else can I say?

You’ve gotten yourself in trouble

And never

Are you ever gonna get out.
