Silent Death
By Lissa Howe
She opened the door sword
at hand,
Waiting for him to appear.
She glared into the darkness
The only light, the door where she stood
She walked slowly into the room, ready to fight.
He appeared out of
the darkness
His sword facing the ground.
She looked up at his face,
The evilest she'd ever seen
But he was too fast for her to defend,
His blade piercing her gut.
Pain filled eyes, dripping
blood
Nose and mouth oozing blood,
Bleeding, she hit the ground,
Silently she lay in the darkness.
He killed her, slaughtered her,
No one heard her bloody scream
Nor a sigh of her silent death.
