There is a story sold to all our youth
A sour tale, with little truth
That tells of roses, chocolates, and love
The sweet callings of the suckling dove

Soliciting always these ideas of pure falsity
If they were at all true, then you'd be with me
A life worth living, a dream worth dreaming
Full of diamonds and sunshine gleaming

Life isn't sugar-coated, it isn't always fair
Nobody will ever be that truly does care
Illusions, lies, and mockery about
Is there such thing as love? I doubt.

Don't tell me that dreams come true
Because the only dream I have is you
Don't tell me that everything will be okay
Don't feed me lines about "someday"

Life is in the moment, all I have is now
"Someday" is something my mind won't allow
Hopes and dreams and prayers are futile
But I fear I'll want you all the while

Love is what? It isn't real
They call it love, but it's only pain that I feel
All I've ever know is this constant dying
The death that will never come, onset by all the lying
