Sands of time sweep gently past,
The girl's eyes open at last.
Memories lie all around,
Even in the hot, sandy ground.
She calls on some friends to help,
But her voice only manages a yelp.
Too much has gone on,
She was played, just like a pawn.
Betrayed and left alone to die,
She wandered, in her throat always a cry.
Here at last she returned,
Come home to have her enemy burned.
To burn his memory was just enough,
That horrid friend who had always acted tough!
Left her in her hour of need,
Left her to die because of his greed.
How fitting that the storm had brought her back,
Back to where love was always in lack.
Back to the desert and its sands,
Back to its lost yet beautiful lands.
With a howl the girl turned,
Her back was on fire, how it burned!
For the last time she locked her eyes,
With those that had betrayed her, and sighs.
She'd been left in time too long,
She felt it was so wrong,
But she struck out hard, her face pale,
In time to here his pitiful wail.
Down, motionless, he fell,
The tears in her eyes began to well.
With him died her pain,
She was left in time with nothing more to gain.
