I thought I heard a bomb drop
But it was only a gunshot
I thought I saw babies, thrown on spears
But it was only a soldier
Dying in his young years
Before my eyes appeared the President
Telling his dupe to kill a Taliban
He smirked as the shot rang
His suit made
From Blue Americans
There was a terrorist on the corner
I don't know when
The shadows across the streetlights
Were Congressmen's
Conferring in their Trilateral Commission
I thought I heard of my apocalypse
But it was only a lie
I thought I heard a bomb drop
But it was only a gunshot
