He woke up. After years he finally woke up. He looked around and all he saw from one side of the land to the other was char and flame. His body a mess of scars. He realized that he did this he alone conquered the beast that killed everything he loved, but he destroyed everything else in the process. Nothing existed beside himself. He brought up his blade, swung back his sword and cut his neck. His head on the ground, blood splattered, his body slowly sunk to the ground.

Xion (a boy living in snake valley) was at the history museum studying an old ancient tablet like he did everyday. He spent many good summer days looking at it, examining it. This tablet shown a large man fighting off a much larger pair of eyes. The same eyes he saw when he was 7 years of age. The day he saw the eyes his parents disapered.7 years passed since. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked behind him and saw his sister Amber. "The prince is waiting" said Amber. Xion looked down to the ground and replied "Good bye'. Hey um. brother he, the prince, said you could bring as many people as you want on this mission.

Before you read the next paragraph you must understand a couple things. Xion is the royal palace guardian and is occasionally assigned missions. His latest mission is to create a truce with an AKA endangered species. There are currently 10,000 of them left. Anise are what their called. They are magical beings with power depending on the color of there blood. The wiped out colors are green, yellow, and blue. Surviving are purple, gold, red, orange, silver.

"Amber if you leave, who will take care of our phoenix?" Xion said. "I guess we'll have to take him with us. Now go. The prince wants you." It was a good day. The blue cloudy sky, the green grass, the dark green forests. But something was missing. The snakes aren't out. The snakes that make snake valley famous and drive enemies away from the palace. Something started to tremble in the bushes. Xion looked around and drew his old rusty sword. "Who's there?" he shouted. Suddenly a huge beast walked up to Xion and sniffed him. It was a mantacore. The huge beast Opened its mouth wide as he could and started licking Xion. It was the palaces Mantacore and its name was Orion. "Did they let you out today?" Xion said in a quiet friendly voice. "Or did you find a way to escape from your cage?" "Mew!" replied Orion. "Come on, time to go to the palace."

"Thank you for returning Orion for us. I wonder if he got all the trolls or gnomes or the aloeno that was eating the snakes. Hope he doesn't die while you're away. He likes you." Said the prince. "Since you're the guard you will escort me to Anise City. I don't think I'll need you though. Seeing how my body is has one of the 3 great demons inside and if anyone messes with me I'll just let him out to play for a bit." Xion just looked petrified. He open his mouth and tried to say something but just decided to shut up. "You ARE planing to bring your sister for help aren't you? She said you were." Xion replied "yes and my bird". "Now it will be a week and a half so. prepare."

Xion tired from not sleeping for a 3 days, making sure nothing happened to the prince. Suddenly sees a dark large figure fighting a creature by the camp. Though the creature was twice the size of the man fought tremendously against the beast. Suddenly the beast and the man died. The beast looked like a bloody mess of flesh of bones, as did the man. Suddenly a huge blue flame swallowed the man, and a big beautiful bird flew out of the body. As it flew away I dropped a large blue feather. Xion ran towards the feather and grabbed it. Then he saw the bird again. It dive- bombed him.

When he awoke he realized that he fainted. He looked at his hand and saw the feather in his hand, but couldn't find his sword. He couldn't find the skin of the beast anywhere, let alone the man. He looked everywhere before waking up the prince.

"I do believe the treaty is in their favor." Said the prince "I hope it works and its sighed. You two can go site seeing, or. here's some money buy something" "thanks! Best of wishes your highness," said Amber. So Xion and Amber went to the central square. Every kind of Anise in one place, mostly silver and read. It was like a huge super market. Silvers selling potions, reds selling pet phoenix (they got a mate for frond, Xion's phoenix) purples selling wands, staffs and rare diamonds. And suddenly Xion got an eye full. He saw a piece of a sword like the one the man was holding in the tablet on a junk shop table for 500$. He bought on impulse without asking the story of the sword. Altogether they spent 2500on a female phoenix (1000$), an 8 ounce ruby and emerald (500$), wand (250$) 5 fire potions (250$) and the old sword fragment.

At around 5:00 PM, they found the prince and a huge mob of anise were around them. Oddly all of them were red and purple. They drew their axes, swords, and other weapons. Suddenly, there was a huge BANG! There was fire everywhere and it wasn't coming from the reds. A huge 6-foot blue and green demon with one arm and a sword for the other came out of the fire. He raised one hand and 1 singular crystal appeared. Then in a flash and millions of crystal shards came out of his palm. Almost all who were hit by the crystals were turned blue and froze. After that they turned transparent and crystallized. The demon suddenly toke his sword and swung it horizontally and in a blink of an eye, the crystal broke out in a brilliant black flame and when the fire simmered down all that was left was the prince, sprawled out on the ground clothes scattered around. Amber and Xion grabbed the prince and ran before soldiers came.

Soldiers close behind they through a fire potion to stop the chase. They found refuge in a cave. But before anyone new what was going on there was a gigantic black hydra. Amber and Xion stood in front of the prince. Its three heads started fighting with each other for food and after one head got bit off it just feasted on its own head and went back into the darkness of the cave. "That was a relieve" said Amber." I thought I might have to fight."

After they got to snake valley they found the familiar snakes. The prince was still unconscious after 9 days or so. "All we can do now is wait" Said Kong, the wizard of snake valley. "I've tried every rejuvenating spell, anti spell, and every other one including my frog-killing spell."

Xion spent most of his time looking at the tablet, playing with his phoenixes, and looking at the blue feather. He was looking at the feather one day and saw it emitting a strange aura. The tablet while he was looking at it suddenly appeared a large blue feather on the ground, a large emerald on the sword.

On the 15th day the royal family proclaimed the prince died. They dressed him in royal armor and had a public ceremony. At the end of the service everyone said there thanks and gave gifts for the burial. The soldiers gave swords, the museum gave an old coin and key, and amber gave fire potion. But when it was Xion's turn to give a present. He gave the rarest thing he had. The blue feather as he set the feather on his body, there was a flash of light the prince opened his eyes. And then he sat up an looked around. Everyone was looking above him. He looked up with them. A huge large demon was hovering over him with his eyes locked shut. Then he uttered something. He repeated it a little louder "I'm out." He repeated it over and over. "I'm here, out of the prince. I'm free." Then the demon slowly dissolved into the air. Everyone was silent. Even when everybody left.

That night everything stopped. Nothing moved. The only thing Xion could think about was the demon. Its name was polo, one of the three great demons. Two of the three were children of Satan, the third was a guard and spawn of the crystals of life. All Xion could think of is what will happen in the name of the fallen son.

Xion woke up to a loud voice. "XION WAKE UP!" said Amber "Guess what I did! I sighed up for magic apprentice with Kong! I've already learned three spells." Xion still in a daze replied "yea? Which ones?" a entrapment spell called bubble, a healing spell called chakaru, and a frog killing spell. but . do you have your sword? " "No, why?" "So you can get out of the bubble around your bed."

So after a minute or two the bubble exploded. "Oh yea, the prince wants you."
