The Golden Age of Dragons
Are long lost to us now
The once so lovely serpents
No longer show us how
But once we stood them closer
Like friend to friend at heart
A trustful wise companion
To guide us through the dark
They came as sent from up above
To aid us in our need
We gave to them Arlinia
So they would give us heed
It all began as in a dream
The egg was lost within
Arlinia so took it back
Not knowing the enormous sin
The baby died out in the air
Its body lifeless and cold
The princess came back crying
Without the dragon to hold
The dreams that night so clear appeared
The princess, she must die
To the highest mountain go
And there sad and loney lie
The Mighty came and killed her then
Blood running oh so red
But through her body came the trust
That us forward lead
