"Don't do it!" I called.

Josie didn't hear

She thought we'd left

Thought we'd given up

That we didn't care

She was wrong

We hadn't left

We hadn't given up

Did care

But how did we tell that to Josie?

The warm, still shape on the road

Traffic slowly stopping as they notice Josie

Josie, so full of life,

Now so still, never to move again

Josie, so full of love

Never to love again

Josie, strong Josie,

Strong Josie no more

Weak Josie, lying on the floor

The tears begin to flow, but not from me

I am dry, void of feeling

She's not gone, I think, Just playing

I want to tell them

I can still feel her warmth

Still feel her kiss

I begin to shake

People moving

Trying to take me away

But I can't

If I go

She'll go

Josie, on the ground

Small and still

My Josie

Strong Josie

Strong Josie no more
