This is another one about being stuck in a relationship which you don't want to be in, although this one differs somewhat because it refers to something abusive I have experienced.

Every Time

For every word I stutter,
You ignore some more,
For every time I stand my ground,
You push me to the floor.

For every truth I mutter,
You turn it into lies,
For every time I stop the tears,
Some more flow from my eyes.

For every time we met,
I want to gain a day,
For every time that you won't leave,
I wish myself away.
